Important: Trainers' Corner Password Change
Due to a security alert we received, the password to the Trainers' Corner on the TSI website has been changed. The new password is listed in a separate email sent to you on July 20th, entitled "Important: New Password for Trainers' Corner Access". The username remains the same. Please change the information in your RC Manual and anywhere else you have the password stored. If you can't find it, contact us at tsisupport@klingberg.org.
The Next Generation of Agency Updates are Here!
Agency Updates just got a major upgrade that will vastly improve and personalize access to your agency's registration and attendance information in real time.
In the past, RC Agency Contacts received 4 email updates per year to help them monitor their progress. Thanks to improvements to our registration system, you no longer need to wait for an email from us. Agency Contacts received an email yesterday with their agency's personalized link, and everyone in the RC community can check the Trainers' Corner for their agency's link to check their information anytime. Welcome to the new, frictionless tracking experience.
Online ARTIC Scale Relaunches to the Public
While Risking Connection Change Model agencies continued to have access to the Online ARTIC Scale for program evaluation, we paused public sales in 2024 to manage high demand and make improvements in our onboarding and implementation support.
Now the Online ARTIC has relaunched to the public, and we need your help in sharing the great news! Read our latest blog post, check out the updated ARTIC pages on our website, and then like, comment on, or repost our LinkedIn announcement to help us reach organizations working to strengthen trauma informed care. RC IDD Recertification is now open for registration. This training offers an intensive learning and practice experience aimed at helping RC IDD Trainers teach the RC IDD Basic Training with fidelity to the model and is due once every two years.
Please note: Due to the updated RC IDD curriculum, this training is open only to RC IDD Trainers. Two Dates are Available and whichever one you choose, your attendance at the event will count toward the year you are due for your Recertification. For instance, if you are due in 2026 but attend the January 2027 event, your 2026 event count will be updated.

RC Webinar - Words Can Wound: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Workplace Violence, Verbal Abuse, and Racial Trauma
Workplace violence is not limited to physical harm. Verbal abuse, identity-based harassment, and racial trauma can deeply impact staff well-being, safety, and service quality – especially in human-centered nonprofit environments. This training explores workplace violence through a trauma-informed lens, with a focus on verbal abuse and racialized harm experienced between colleagues, supervisors, and clients. This training offers an intensive learning and practice experience aimed at helping RC Trainers teach the RC Basic Training with fidelity to the model. This training is required once every two years.
Please Note: Due to the IDD RC curriculum revision, this session is not open to IDD RC Trainers.
When you need to bulk up your group of RC Associate Trainers or Champions, virtual RC Train-the-Trainer is a useful, cost-effective solution. These are your primary advocates and influencers for trauma-informed care (TIC) at your agency; having a strong crew of RC Trainers and/or Champions is a way to sustain and deepen your TIC implementation. August 18-20, 2026, 10-5 ET (open to future standard RC Trainers and Champions)
The Restorative Approach® Basicupdated this year, is a trauma-informed alternative to traditional “point and level” systems for child congregate care settings. Based on attachment theory and the principles of restorative justice, it answers the question, “Now that I understand how trauma affects children, what should I do on Monday?” Open to All
The Restorative Approach® Train-the-Trainer,updated this year, offers an intensive learning experience about how to teach the 1-Day RA Basic training within your system, agency, or school. During the course of training, prospective trainers will practice teach to their peers and the Faculty Trainers in a supportive learning environment.
Prerequisite: Must be an RC Trainer and have attended RA Basic
RC Webinar - The Impact of Racial Bias and Racial Trauma for People with IDD and Their Families
Dr. Tim Barksdale explores the complex and often-overlooked intersection of racial bias, racial trauma, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including autism. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how systemic inequities and lived experiences of racism uniquely affect individuals with IDD and their families across healthcare, education, and community systems.
